Life Jacket Loaner Program
T-BART, as part of its mission to promote boating safety, offers a life jacket loaner program on Tellico Lake. This program provides the public with free use of life jackets on a first-come, first-served basis. The goal of the program is to increase life jacket use during water-based activities.
T-BART life jacket loaner stations are maintained at the following locations in communities on Tellico Lake:
Rarity Bay
- Rock Point docks
- Bay View Villas docks
Tellico Village
Tanasi Basin
- By the ramp to the I and J docks behind the Tanasi Clubhouse
- Restroom building serving the Q and R docks
- Restroom building serving the D, E and F docks
- Restroom building serving the G and H docks
- On the A dock serving the A, B and C docks
- Restroom building serving the Kahite docks
T-BART asks those borrowing a loaner life jackets to:
- Sign the waiver and release form on the clipboard at the life jacket loaner station. The person signing must be an adult.
- Read and follow the instructions for life jacket safety posted at the life jacket loaner station.
- Rinse, re-zip and re-clip the loaner life jacket when returning it.
- Return and hang up the loaner life jacket at the life jacket loaner station.
