Life Jacket Loaner Program

​T-BART, as part of its mission to promote boating safety, offers a life jacket loaner program on Tellico Lake.  This program provides the public with free use of life jackets on a first-come, first-served basis.  The goal of the program is to increase life jacket use during water-based activities.

T-BART life jacket loaner stations are maintained at the following locations in communities on Tellico Lake:

Rarity Bay

• Rock Point docks​​​​

• Bay View Villas docks​​ 

Tellico Village
   Tanasi Basin

• By the ramp to the K, L and M docks behind the Tanasi Clubhouse

Tanasi Basin

• Restroom building serving the Q, R and P docks​ 

 Yacht Club

• Restroom building serving the D, E and F docks​​

 Yacht Club​

• Restroom building serving the G and H docks

Tugaloo Docks

• On the A dock serving the A, B and C docks

 ​Kahite Neighborhood

• Restroom building serving the Kahite docks​

T-BART asks those borrowing a loaner life jackets to:

1. Sign the waiver and release form on the clipboard at the life jacket loaner station. The person signing must be an adult.
2. Read and follow the instructions for life jacket safety posted at the life jacket loaner station.
3. Rinse, re-zip and re-clip the loaner life jacket when returning it.
4. ​Return and hang up the loaner life jacket at the life jacket loaner station.
