T-BART Supports 2025 Polar Plunge: A Cold Splash for a Good Cause
On January 1, 2025, T-BART had the honor of participating in the annual Loudon County / Monroe County Polar Plunge. Held at Poplar Springs Boat Ramp, this exciting event brought together brave participants who took the plunge into the icy waters of Tellico Lake to support local causes and T-BART was proud to be one of them.
T-BART was out in full force, with all three of our towboats in the water, ready to support the event and ensure the safety of participants. The Polar Plunge provided a thrilling start to the New Year and helped raise important funds for T-BART. We are grateful to be the recipient of the $1,500 proceeds of the event and an additional $250 donation from a group from Kahite who called themselves the "Kahite Plungers". These funds will go directly toward supporting T-BART’s mission: to provide safe and timely boating assistance to the Tellico Lake community. To read more about the Polar Plunge and the courageous participants who made it happen, check out the article in The Connection newspaper.
